After compiling all the info of expanding our VW parts business into the Houston market we we had to make a decision. Our store K&E imports Parts,in Baytown had been in operation since 1979 and was serving that market well. On June 23, 1988 we attended the first official meeting ot the Bay Area Club in an upstairs room at Les Marks Chev. in La Porte.The meeting along with the other VW clubs in the area,convinced us that the Houston market could support another store supplying the VW market.At both our stores we did dabble in the Japanese car parts linefor awhile. This line of parts did not work out for us. So we decided to stay with the cars we liked,VW,s. We opened Ask Imports in March of 1987 on Star Lane and enjoyed it ever since. Our customers are great and we really appreciate thier support.We plan serving the VW folks for many years to come.
